Pet vaccination reminders

A vaccine's validity is easy to miss: it runs out a year later, and the last time you saw the passport entry was at the clinic. The service watches the dates for you.

How the reminders work

If a vaccination in the passport has a validity date, the service works out when it expires and warns you in advance - 90, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before. The first reminder three months out is there so you can calmly pick a clinic and a time; the last one so you don't forget on the day.

The notification arrives where it suits you: in Telegram or on your phone. If you've already booked, mark it right in the reminder - the remaining notifications for that vaccination go quiet. If the visit had to be moved, the reminder can be postponed.

For puppies and kittens - by the first-year plan

In the first year vaccinations come as a series, and missing one is easiest of all. For a puppy or kitten the service builds a first-year plan from the date of birth: deworming, core vaccinations, rabies, microchip, booster, the one-year check-up. A reminder for each plan step arrives 3 days before it is due; anything already done is taken from the passport.

Parasite treatments - separately

Deworming and flea & tick protection repeat more often than vaccinations and are forgotten even more easily. Enter the product, the date of the last treatment and the interval - monthly, every three months or every six. The reminder arrives a week before, a day before and on the day, and after you mark it "done" the service works out the next date straight away.

The table is a guide based on WSAVA 2024 guidelines - the service builds the first-year plan on the same dates. Exact dates are set by your vet: vaccines from different manufacturers have their own schedules.

Pets are dewormed 10–14 days before vaccination: with parasites on board the vaccine may not build proper immunity.

The schedule is indicative and follows WSAVA guidelines. Exact timing and vaccines are set by your vet: they depend on age, health, region and the vaccine manufacturer.

FAQ

How many days in advance does the reminder arrive?

90, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before the vaccine expires. The early reminders are there so you can book in time, the late ones so you don't forget.

Where do reminders arrive?

In Telegram if you use the bot, or as a push notification on your phone if the app is installed on the home screen. Set up in "Settings".

Can I turn reminders off?

Yes, completely or for a specific vaccination. If you've already booked the vet, just mark it in the reminder itself - the remaining notifications for that vaccine won't come.

Will the service remind me about deworming and ticks?

Yes. Treatments are a separate section with their own interval; reminders arrive a week before, a day before and on the day.

Do I have to enter all vaccinations by hand?

No. Just photograph the pages of the paper passport: vaccine names, dates and validity are recognised and go into the card.
